The venue for LGBT IPC 2022 will be the Trinity Sports Centre, Hulme, Manchester, which is conveniently located just five minutes from Canal Street, the gay village and a wide selection of hotel options.

*** Same Day Weigh In Only By Arrangement with Chris Morgan ***

Same Day Weigh In: Strictly at 8am, lifters must report at the venue 7.45am and have pre-arranged this with Meet Director Chris Morgan. Nobody else will be able to agree this for you.

*** (Lift off is strictly 9am if you are in Flight 1 or 2 you are strongly advised to weigh in the day before ***

World Champions Powerlifters Chris Morgan and Charlotte Wareing will be hosting this free Athletes Meeting & Technical Briefing.

POWERLIFTING COMPETITION 

LGBT International Powerlifting Championships – Manchester 2022

Lift Off 9am through to 7pm  (Estimated Finish Time, venue opens at 8am)

Medal Ceremony 7pm – 8pm

Hot food, drinks, donuts and cakes will be available throughout the day at the venue.

THIS IS A NON SANCTIONED EVENT 

On this occasion we are using Internationally Recognised Rules, weight classes and age groups with the following amendments.

All categories are open to all regardless of Gender, Sexuality, Race, Religion Ability or Health Status. 

Closed Category for members of any internationally recognised drug tested Powerlifting or strength Federation.

(Please note: People lifting this category will be required to submit a copy their current membership card with their entry form and also show the card at registration).

Open Category for Powerlifters of other Federations and lifters who do not currently belong to any Powerlifting Federation. .

Novice Category for lifters that have never competed in ANY powerlifting competition before.

LGBT IPC is the first sporting event in the world to offer MX third gender classes for Trans,  Non Binary and Intersex Participants.

There are no qualifying standards for this competition. All lifters are welcome regardless of experience, ability, sexuality, gender or health status.

Competition Day – Please note all events will run at the same time. (MAXIMUM START LIST IS 75 LIFTERS)

Athletes will either enter Full Power or up to two Single Lift events as we plan to run flights “Back to Back”!

We have the private dining area booked at Giorgio’s Manchester, those wanting to visit the bars and clubs in the gay village can be served quickly and those wanting to stay close to the hotel can eat, drink and socialise.

We are delighted to announce that VIA will be our closing party partner for LGBT IPC 2022. They will be providing a Sunday Roast in their restaurant, followed by an evening of world class cabaret.
